Mookie Betts Traded to Los Angeles Dodgers

Acquired from Boston Red Sox

LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers officially acquired 2018 MVP outfielder Mookie Betts on Monday night as well as former Cy Young Award winner David Price in a trade with the Boston Red Sox.

Betts, 27, is a four-time All-Star and two-time Gold Glove winner. He batted .307 with 30 home runs and 80 RBIs in 2018, leading the Red Sox to a World Series championship.

In return, the Red Sox received outfielder Alex Verdugo and prospects Jeter Downs and Connor Wong.
